Be Sure To Pack AA

My wife and I had been looking forward to and planning our Italy vacation for more than a year. This would be our fifth trip to Europe, having previously toured Great Britain, France, and Amsterdam. I had attended AA meetings in Edinburgh, London and Paris and found those meetings very welcoming and wonderful experiences. As an “old timer” with over 40 years I have learned I should not take my sobriety for granted. I have two home groups where I am active in service and fellowship, and when I travel I “pack AA” along with my clothing and toiletries, meaning, I bring literature, and local meeting lists. I know that once I’ve gone to a meeting in a new city, I’m home, no matter where I am.
