The Richness Of This Moment

It turns out that I have been chasing this moment my whole life. Until I came down those stairs and started to listen, as well as I could at the time, everything about my life was in disarray. I was in my second failing marriage, my 17-year-old son was fast becoming estranged from me and I was drinking to blackout every day. I couldn’t tell you when the blackouts began. I couldn’t tell you when I started drinking in the mornings. My brain and my life were stewed.
