The writer of “Eyes Wide Open” thought that once she stopped drinking, life would be perfect. Then really tough things began to occur in her life. At first she relapsed, then luckily came back, got a sponsor and got into the Steps. Over time she began to handle life better.  “I had a plan for living that really worked,” she writes, “both in wonderful times, and in rough going.”
