Invisible

With lots of careful planning, no one would notice her drinking. But then came the day everyone knew

I was the invisible alcoholic. I was a housewife and a mother who was sometimes employable. My husband traveled for work, and I drank at home. I parceled out care of my 4-year-old to my two teenagers and palmed off the grocery shopping and errands to my husband on weekends. I kept a really low profile.
