I was born in a home with an alcoholic dad. I had my first drink when I was about age 12. I got drunk and fell on the steps trying to go upstairs in our old farmhouse. When I hit the floor, I looked up to see my dad standing over me. “If you can’t drink like a man then don’t drink,” he told me.
