Hope, After All
Who would ever think my life and story would be the way it is today? As a young girl I was defiant. I always did the opposite of what my parents wanted me to do. With a learning disability in school, I was marked as the oddball in my family. Growing up with the old Italian traditions, my mom stayed home with seven kids while my dad was doing his thing with other women. I used to hide in the closet to keep an eye on Mom and I’d see her cry at night. The things I saw and heard as a young child no one should endure.
