Sober in ‘69
There weren’t a lot of young people. Some women carried spoons in case a newcomer had a seizure. People came to AA first; there were no treatment centers then.
I came into AA in 1969. I was 19 years old. I had hit a low bottom, landing in hospitals and jails, and surviving bad car and motorcycle accidents.
