A past delegate from Quebec shares how he walked through fear, served AA and saw the spirit of inclusion firsthand
A few years ago, when I was a delegate at AA’s 69th General Service Conference, to my great surprise I was elected chairman of my trustees committee. My first thought was, But I’m a unilingual Francophone! How was I ever going to maneuver through the rough sea of the Conference with so much responsibility? How would I coordinate my committee’s work and report their recommendations to the Conference? Trust me, living one day a time then became a big challenge!
