One breath at a time

Acceptance, peace, patience and gratitude... a longtimer shares about the gifts of prayer and meditation

Because the coin of the realm in AA is honesty, I will begin by asking why I might think I’m qualified to share my thoughts about meditation. The simple truth is that there is a better than even chance my daily attempt at meditation will at some point turn into a snooze fest, halted only by the timer set to 20 minutes on my smart phone. Call it narcolepsy or simply old age, slumber awaits me more often than nirvana.
