Breaking the cicle
A member shares about compassion, chronic relapsing and his longtime friendship with his AA buddy Norm
My friend Norm died a few months ago. The death certificate doesn’t say it, but he died of alcoholism. We came into AA around the same time 27 years ago. I’ve managed to maintain my “daily reprieve” since then by embracing the ongoing spiritual quest for sobriety. Admittedly, I do better some days than others.
