A searching AA finds a peaceful place in recovery

The idea of emotional sobriety is gradually emerging as I make my way through the Steps. Having been a daily drinker for more than two decades, the most important thing I’ve learned in taking things one day at a time is how valuable each benchmark is for restoring me to sanity. In fact, I think I was being spiritually prepared to clean up my unmanageable life not long before becoming a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
