The courage to show my face
It took a while to turn his camera on, but this newcomer is staying sober, getting active and ready to log on
The first time I experienced another alcoholic putting into words my own life experience didn’t occur in a meeting, but in fictional books by James Lee Burke and Mark Dawson. In fact, a character in one of those books mentioned his well-used Big Book. It struck such a chord with me that I ordered one from a website that also featured links to online meetings. I was not ready for those, but I would be in due time.
