The writer of the story “Accepting Dad” shares about childhood drama with her drunken father and how it affected the whole family. When she later hit bottom herself,  she took her sister’s suggestion and came to AA and got sober. The Steps helped her learn about forgiveness of herself and others. This led her to reach out to her father to help him as best she could.
