Either way, It works
At his old home group they used to go all out with celebrations. At his new group they don’t even have a cake!
Our Fourth Tradition states, “Each group should be autonomous except in matters affecting other groups or A.A. as a whole.” This is the way AA allows variation among groups, as long as they adhere to the Twelve Traditions—and so long as a group’s practices do not affect AA or other groups.
