We love to feature remote community stories in our December issue. What better time of year to remember alcoholics who have a difficult time reaching AA? We also include some touching sober holiday tales to enjoy. In the story “A Place to Call Home,” a member of a remote connections committee in Canada shares his long, wonderful journey in service. In “Cold Land, Warm Hearts,” members working in a remote Arctic town come up with a great way to help newcomers. And a mother with two years sober is tempted by some bubbly Christmas “cheer,” but luckily thinks the drink through and saves the day in “Mom’s Holiday Gift.”
