Finally made it!

I don’t know if a person can get seasick by sitting on a bar stool but that’s sure how I felt, like I was about to upchuck into my beer glass. I was not, however, on a boat. I was in a dive bar on Santa Monica Boulevard watching the Oscars on TV. I sat there rocking back and forth because the bartender was busy rinsing glasses and kept blocking my view. But that’s not what was making me ill. What was causing the sinking feeling in my stomach was watching this well-known film director stroll down the red carpet at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles.
