Remembering A., My Brother

My younger brother A. and I became the best of friends after college graduation, when he moved home to care for our mother, who was in failing health. A. lived close to the airport and worked for an airline, and so he traveled a lot, since he had the benefit of employee- reduced airfare. Every so often we would fly somewhere to play golf and enjoy the perks of first class air travel. We drank on every occasion we were together and those trips were no exception. Looking back, I can see we enabled each other greatly.
