From Dirty Laundry To A Sunlit Spirit

My descent into alcoholism was fast, and the wreckage widespread.  It matters little how many years have elapsed, when I have flashbacks to those days I’m left feeling desperate, sticky and covered with grime.  They may have lost their sharp edges over time, but still have the power to slice me open if I hold onto the reflections too long.
