The Invisible Line

At one of my first meetings I heard someone say that when we first get sober we’re at the age (emotionally-speaking) when we first started drinking. I was 13 years old when I had my first beer. It was warm and horrific and I loved how it made me feel. When I swallowed this magical elixir, I knew I was right where I was supposed to be. I was finally comfortable in my own body. I will never forget that day.
