To Love a Dad
A newcomer heads to North Carolina to make amends to his father. Good thing he took his sponsor’s suggestion and prayed
I’m not a “one-chip wonder.” I tried a while to get the program. It took a year of near-daily AA meetings, my fifth DWI conviction, a 28-day treatment center and a half dozen beginner chips for me to begin my sober life. Only then did I become serious about staying sober and become willing to work the Steps.
