Relying On A Higher Power
In early sobriety, we start by dealing with fears that later seem relatively simple. Doing things that are scary, one day at a time. Going to meetings. Sharing at meetings. Asking someone to be our sponsor. Opening the mail sober. Doing the laundry sober. Talking on the phone sober. These things were terrifying to me at first, but I was desperate and more afraid of what not doing them would mean.
