When I showed up to AA in 2011, I was here for one thing: to get people off my back. I needed the husband to quit overreacting. I needed the kids to quit freaking out and, in case the state of Texas asked, I’d already been to an AA meeting. That’s the attitude y’all got when I walked into AA.
