The writer of “Starting My Day” got some very helpful suggestions from his sponsor in early sobriety, which put him on a path to taking right action and doing service in AA. He recalls learning to “act my way into better thinking” rather than “think my way into better acting.” This put him on the AA service road, where he also learned that, “It’s not important who does the job but that the job gets done.”
