Huge Amounts of Love

I first met one of the men I sponsor, let’s call him Jeffrey, in 2013 at an early morning AA meeting. We were cordial to each other, but we did not have much in common since he didn’t share many details of his life. He felt that his English wasn’t very good. That was only his insecurity talking though, as I later found out he speaks five languages fluently. Jeffrey came to AA after a 30-day inpatient treatment program. He did well at first, but he had a relapse the following February after his 36-year-old son died by suicide.
