AA Words And AA Kindness
In a time of great need, AAs come together
In early 2004, my sponsee and friend Charlie P. asked me to drive him to the VA hospital in St. Petersburg to get the results of a brain scan that his doctor had ordered. The doctor showed us the scan, with a bright, well-defined area that he explained was a glioblastoma—a rapidly spreading, inoperable cancer. The one-hour drive home was quiet for a bit, until Charlie looked over at the steering wheel and said, “You keep your hands at 10 am and 2 pm - good for you!”
