A small miracle

When I was in my active alcoholism, I always joked that I never wanted to be pregnant because that would mean I’d have to go nine months without drinking. I also doubted I could be a good mother and feared that I’d screw up any kid that was unlucky enough to have me as a mom. This perspective followed me into AA.
