Getting sober young brought the gifts early on—but the best gifts were ones you couldn’t touch
What does “life beyond my wildest dreams” look like to me? I’ll tell you. As I sit here writing with 22 years of sobriety, a journey that started when I was 19, I’m reflecting on how many times over the years I’ve heard the phrase, “If I got all I thought I wanted in early sobriety, I would have sold myself short.”
