Service Is The Solution

As I write this I have been sober, this time around, for four years, two months, and two weeks. Other than the period before I ever touched a drink of alcohol, or a drug, this length of time is the longest I have been sober. Coming back to AA wasn’t even my idea. I happened to run into a sober person that I remembered from my last time in AA, five years previously. She asked me how I was doing. I then told her and she gave me the best suggestion she could: “Come back to AA, There are people that will understand and can relate to what you are going through.”
