AA was better than nothing before it turned out to be better than everything.
At 26 years old, I had the college degree, the right job, the right look and, seemingly, all the pieces of the puzzle to make a successful life. The only problem was, I wanted to die. I couldn't stand myself. If I were another person, I would just avoid that person, but I couldn't avoid myself.
