You Made My Day

The Arizona sun had chased away all but a few clouds. Chirping birds tattled on a couple of the ducks who squabbled, seemingly about nothing. From their rocky sunbathing hangout, one of the turtles swam across the sky blue water to check out my standup paddleboard. I could have stayed there forever. I relished the wonders of this day and thanked God for sobriety, the paddle and Tucson life.
