Doing the Deal

At nine months sober, he’s going to fellowship, showing up for family and driving his buddy Mark all over town

It was a mild Minnesota February afternoon, and we were gathered with family and friends to bring diapers for our first grandson. Whenever we got together as a family there would always be alcohol, and today would be no exception. After all, the host of the party, my son, had just purchased a beer-keg refrigerator and it was stocked with gluten-free beer which was the coldest beer ever. I drank and drank from the keg that afternoon as various packages of diapers were collected.
