The writer of “Accepting the Road Ahead” shares how she and her husband stayed sober through the stress and pain of his cancer journey and death. No matter what, they prayed, went to lots of AA meetings, asked for help and didn’t drink. “We respected each other and our own journeys,” she writes. “We found joy in each other. We were present for each moment, the good and bad ones.”
