A hurricane destroyed her town and cut off all power. Luckily, she had another power and AA friends with warm coffee

I thought I was prepared. I boarded up the windows, and I planned to cover the French doors, but that didn’t work out. The power went out about 11:30 a.m., but I was able to talk to my son on the phone, getting storm updates until about 1:00 p.m. Then the phone cut off. That scared me, as I wondered when, or if, I would ever talk to my son again.
