Through AA, he found a new, more powerful relationship with a Higher Power that was with him his whole life
I remember being a little offended at the Second Step after reading it a few times. After all, it states I’m insane. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen a lot of people come into AA, and I have yet to see someone come in on a “winning streak.” I came into AA because I needed help. I had a couple friends who were in the program, and I knew in my heart it had worked for them.
