A mid-life drinking crisis brings her to AA

It was eleven years ago that I quit drinking. I never thought that I would be classified “an alcoholic.” I did, however, marry three alcoholics thinking that would be the way to acquaint myself with the 12 Step program. I did go to Al-anon—I  had to learn how to live with them if I could not get them sober. Though I spent many dedicated years as a member of Al-Anon, they all kept drinking. Nothing I did mattered.
