After a car crash dealt her a traumatic brain injury, she kept close to the program, got involved in service and learned to ask for help

One day in November of 2007, with 22 years of sobriety, I was a passenger in a high-speed motor vehicle accident. A swerving vehicle hit our car, then pushed it into the next lane where another vehicle hit us and we rolled over three times, end over end. I was awake and conscious the whole time, metal crashing repeatedly into pavement at 65 mph. Every time we landed upside down, I expected to die but didn’t.
