A Bridge To

For me it was a “bridge to.” Starting my drinking career in my mid-teens, I never formed into a mature individual until after age 30, when I came to AA and got sober. For instance, I remember going from one relationship to another, and when each one failed, I was devastated. My friend Katie (whose shoulder I would cry on) told me I was like a 15 year old. After my resentment was lifted, I heard that we are emotionally at the age when we get sober as we were when we began drinking. Duh!! Of course I was acting, like a 15 year old.
