For three years, all she had was a Big Book and a willing cellmate. Then one day, when the pandemic ended, she heard a call for meetings

I arrived in prison in August 2020. I spent my first few weeks in an intake unit waiting to find out what my security and housing unit was. For 22 hours a day, I was locked in my cell with nothing but a tiny pencil, scrap paper and two books from a unit shelf with a poor selection.
