A retired single mom uses Tradition Seven to find peace with her expectations and resentments about money

I have always had a very complicated relationship with money, one fraught with shame and guilt. I grew up in a home in which money was weaponized. Though my alcoholic father always earned sufficient money to keep a decent roof over our heads, he frequently shamed my mother and us kids for needing or wanting money for even the most basic items, including clothes, school supplies or entertainment.
