Hooked

I loved Grapevine long before I even liked AA. I realize that statement doesn’t make much sense, but I wasn’t ready to completely give myself to the program. Alcohol was winning the battle, yet I wasn’t ready to fully concede. I attended meetings on and off, and someone must have given me a Grapevine magazine to read and return as part of our group’s revolving library.
