Saved in Honduras
Far away in the mountains, a sober nursing student finds herself in tequila hell. Grapevine to the rescue!
In the spring of 2010, when I was getting my master’s degree as a nurse practitioner, I went to Honduras with an interdisciplinary group of university students. Since I had always wanted to be involved in international healthcare, I was excited to be able to go on a trip like this. Our travel group was going to Honduras to practice our skills and to treat patients while we practiced our Spanish, as well.
