Week after week I would tell myself, “I’m never going to do this again, I’m never going to drink again.” I hated the reflection of the person looking back from the mirror. I would berate her, saying, “Why can’t you be stronger? You’re such a loser. Why can’t you just have a couple drinks and be okay?”
