I crossed the line very early in my life and lost the ability to control and enjoy my drinking. Perhaps I could have stopped drinking at one time. I didn’t. I suppose there was some period of time that I should have stopped drinking, but I wouldn’t, and then there was a very long time that I wanted to stop drinking, but I couldn’t.
