Honesty And Willingness

I came to AA in the fall of 1978 and mark my sobriety as January 6, 1979. I’ve had the privilege of a long journey in AA. I was twenty-five years old when I got here and staying sober one day at a time seemed like an impossible mission. One of the old timers who was a huge help in the beginning suggested that I build my life around AA. I have done my best to follow her suggestion. When I came to AA my life was truly unmanageable. I had been hospitalized a half dozen times. I had a string of lost jobs and opportunities for higher education.
