Saying the Right Words

A GSO staff member on the CPC desk shares how grateful he is that a professional knew how to make AA attractive

I had finally had enough. I truly wanted to stop drinking. I had been stopping and starting for an entire summer on my own with no help, but I just couldn’t stay stopped. It was then that I somehow found an outpatient treatment center that I thought could help. My memory is foggy on how I got there. I don’t remember applying or asking to be admitted, but there I was attending AA meetings and therapy sessions and some counseling.
