Showing What We Do

When I joined my new home group, I got an opportunity to see how leadership in AA can work in unexpected ways. My group elected representatives for most of the local AA service committees, but I noticed one of them was missing. We had never sent a rep to our local CPC (Cooperation with the Professional Community) committee, which provides information about AA to professional people such as clergy, lawyers and doctors. The committee lets them know what AA does, and just as important, what AA doesn’t do. So I volunteered to represent my group, and I was elected.
