Sharing the Good Stuff

After 50 years in the program, he finds that reaching out is still critical, whether in person or with his pen

“I took my new scooter around the park on an overcast, muggy day in July with the temperature in the 80s. There was little activity, just a few walkers and folks in parked cars, all with their noses pointed at smart phones, including a middle-aged gal sitting in the passenger seat of a lemon-yellow compact car. The hood was up and the driver was bent over the motor. As part of a current effort to reach out socially, I made a U-turn, stopped and asked what kind of a car it was because I had never seen one like it.
