Just the Right Time
As she walked along the beach, exhausted from anger and ego, she thanked her Higher Power for saving her
When I had seven years sober I was given the lead part in a play. The reviews were terrific. When I was onstage, everyone thought I was funny. My head got a bit swelled up and my ego went rampant. I began to feel that with more than seven years sober I could do anything—anything at all. I felt like the best actress the world had seen. I began to say to myself, Why do I need AA now?
