22 Months and Counting

I really did intend to have my last drink on September 7, 2022, but my Higher Power had different plans for me. That morning I was arrested at my mom’s house for an outstanding warrant. Earlier that morning I had gone into my momma’s change jar with plans to go buy a cheap one shooter to get my day started. But I decided to smoke a cigarette in the backyard before going to the liquor store.
