Yets & Agains

I grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. Just across the Red River was Bossier City, a place where you could get most anything you wanted. I had my first drink there at age 14. The only buzz I got was for doing something forbidden. Four years later in college I got drunk for the first time. From that day forward I drank to get drunk. My college was located in a dry parish. The nearest liquor store was 30 miles away. I had very little money and no car.
